We hit the 4 week mark on Saturday and I still feel like we are settling in. I have not quite adjusted to life with a new baby. Sleep is non existent, quiet is non existent, Dan and I eating meals at the same time is non existent. Phrases have started coming out of my mouth that I did not expect such as: "Bryce, please do not pick up your sister. Bryce, how did you get up on the counter? Please don't put ____ in the toilet. Bryce, NO! Bryce where did you go? Bryce, we do not run out in the middle of the street". It's amazing the things he can do when I'm completely ignoring him?!?
It still surprises me how I can love this little girl so much and want to eat her up one second, then want to set her by the curb just a few hours later. (kidding) I'm not sure if it is colic or what, but there are times of the day (mostly night) where she is completely inconsolable. She is clearly having issues with her tummy and it makes my heart hurt to watch her in pain. I just need to remind myself that this is only temporary.

She is still doing a lot of this...

I'm sure it will feel that way soon (she says with laughter in her voice). Honestly, it really does get easier. You'll find that you like Bryce being a little bit more independent, and Sydney will soon figure out what's bothering her. Keep hanging in there!
By the way, she's beautiful!
How freakin cute are those two curtain climbers of yours??? Adorable! and I am soooo diggin' the stove. Fancy girl!
