Craft Projects I've been working on

I have seasons of craftiness.  It comes and goes.  Lately...it has been in full force around here.  I have found lots of cool ideas on pinterest, and just plain ole' blog surfing.  Here are some of the projects I've completed.  (Yes, the 4th has come and gone, but I'm finally finding time to photograph and share some of these...whatever)
These frames were super easy and super cheap!  Remember these dollar store frames?
I used them for Sydney's first birthday and my Valentine's Decor.  I have seriously gotten some mileage out of that one dollar!  Anyway...with a little paint, and some red, white, and blue scrapbook paper that has been sitting around for years...voila!
Super easy, almost free (except for the $4-ish can of spray paint) and I was able to spice up my summer decorations.  I placed these on the table next to my......

I was inspired by this cute little bunch of paper flowers I found, so I put my own spin on it and came up with a festive little bunch of fireworks.
Again, I just used supplies I had sitting around.
1.  Found a vase and lined the inside with some paper.
2. Made several sizes of paper "flowers"
3. Glued some skewer sticks to the backside of each flower and stuck them in the vase. (with Styrofoam so they wouldn't jiggle around.)
The tutorial I followed mentioned to cut the edges in different angles to create different effects.  I also added some metallic paper to make these "sparkle". ;)
I love the way it turned out.   Bonus...it was free!

Lastly, this adorable Wreath!
It didn't turn out quite as cute and full as the one I found here, but it's still cute.  These projects are all about learning, right?
I just used a grapevine wreath from the...you guessed it...dollar store, and some drink umbrellas from Party City and stuck the sticks right in the wreath.
I really think it would have helped to have a better wreath.
I guess you get what you pay for at the dollar store!

My season of craftiness may have passed, but the best part is I know it will be back!  Thanks for stopping by!

Those frames are so cute! I'll have to purge the local dollar store for some like it.
